The artist of the 2026 Light Gallery is Tampere-based visual artist Sanna Kauppinen, known for her precise and delicate line drawings. The light art installation, projected onto the walls of buildings in the city centre, is titled The Mythic Forest and the Golden King. Kauppinen brings Finnish bear mythology, forest creatures and imagery inspired by folk beliefs to the heart of Tampere.
